Metric and Broken Social Scene

The members of Canadian indie bands Metric and Broken Social Scene are not only friends, but also connected by a movie soundtrack: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. (Actress Brie Larson from Captain Marvel performs Metric’s “Black Sheep” in the cult film.) But Metric frontwoman Emily Haines is the vocalist on Broken Social Scene’s “Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl.” Now, 16 years after the video game-themed film hit theaters, the two bands are touring together with another Canadian group, Stars. 7 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was only 18 years old when his debut, the bluesy Ledbetter Heights, was released. More than three decades later, the guitar wunderkind is now an accomplished artist, so he’s revisiting the album that helped define him as one of the genre’s finest. 7:30 p.m. $51.06 -$114.36. Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers

Call it The Bear effect: the inclusion of the famed pianist on the hit FX dramedy’s soundtrack has once again given Hornsby the attention he so richly deserves. Madison Beer

Madison Beer got her start years ago when Justin Bieber personally signed her to his label. It’s safe to say the two artists have gone in wildly different directions, both personally and professionally. Bob Log III

This Tucson-based musician always performs in an outfit that looks like something a daredevil would wear. That’s because in many ways he is. His helmet is wired to a microphone, allowing this one-man blues band to put on a musical party, complete with props and ribald humor. It’s a risk because audiences are never sure if the artist can be taken seriously.
