Kevin Morby

Critics say that the indie folk singer’s latest record, Little Wide Open, might be his best. It seems like every year the Florida-based rapper, known to his fans as “Mr. Worldwide,” brings the party to Phoenix. However, he’s been branching out from music, serving as an education advocate and NASCAR racing team owner and working with Tony Robbins on the motivational speaker circuit. Rapper Lil Jon will join the “International Love” artist. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Yacht Rock Revue

If you’re a Hey Nineteen or Rosanna sing-alonger, The Van Buren will be your ground-zero Wednesday night. Performed by Atlanta-based rock band Cann, this salute to the tightly-produced, easy-listening adult-contempo hits of the 1970s and 80s leaves a wake of satisfied soft-rock partiers wherever it sails across North America. Igor DAMN Stravinsky

In 2024, Steve Hackman married The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur with Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2. Now the composer and conductor returns with his latest project: Igor DAMN Stravinsky. It’s a fusion of the ballet Petrushka with Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. Come early to watch local breakdance troupe Furious Styles Crew perform in the lobby, and you can meet Hackman and the other artists performing with the Phoenix Symphony after the show. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Desert Divas

The Rhythm Room will be going on hiatus this summer, but its last show before the break is enough to burn the house down.
