When Marina Doering founded Creative Continuum Therapy in 2023, she wasn’t simply opening a private practice. She was challenging a belief she had encountered throughout her career: that exceptional client care and clinician well-being could not coexist.
After years of working within systems that often left both providers and clients feeling unsupported, she envisioned something different. A practice grounded in the understanding that people need belonging and regulation before meaningful growth can occur. A practice where connection is valued alongside clinical excellence. A practice where clinicians can thrive, allowing them to provide the kind of care clients deserve.
In a world that often prioritizes performance over connection and belonging, Creative Continuum Therapy was built on the belief that people thrive when they feel understood, supported, and accepted as they are. Rather than asking individuals to fit into a system, the practice strives to create environments that honor differences, foster self-understanding, and help make the invisible visible.
Three years ago, Creative Continuum Therapy was a vision carried by its founder. Today, it is a community carrying that vision forward.
Today, the practice serves children, teens, adults, and families throughout the Valley through counseling, art therapy, parent support, groups, workshops, and community education. The team specializes in ADHD, autism, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, trauma, life transitions, and neurodivergence, providing individualized care that recognizes both strengths and challenges.
As a lifespan-focused practice, Creative Continuum Therapy has the privilege of supporting individuals across every stage of development. The team works with children as they grow into adolescents and adults, partners with parents through evolving family dynamics, and supports individuals navigating life’s transitions. This perspective allows clinicians to see the whole person, not just a diagnosis, challenge, or moment in time.
Being named PHOENIX Magazine’s Best of the Valley in Behavioral Health & Counseling is an incredible honor and a reflection of the trust placed in us by our clients, families, referral partners, and community members. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue creating spaces where unique minds experience belonging, build regulation, and discover the confidence to thrive.
