The 85-year-old Nobel Prize winner and living musical legend recently wrote about the pros and cons of being an octogenarian in The New York Times. Fittingly, his words are as poetic and funny as his music, with passages such as “you outlive the clocks that have been chasing you” and “the world moves without asking.” Catch the venerable rocker and his penchant for unpredictable live performance when his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour comes to Phoenix. 7 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. It’s been nearly a decade since ASAP Rocky released a full-length album, and it was worth the wait. Don’t Be Dumb is a welcome return to form, but the record’s most interesting aspect is its cover art, designed by Batman director Tim Burton. Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks

Phantom Planet
The O.C. may be long gone, as is Phantom Planet’s original drummer, Rushmore actor Jason Schwartzman. 5 Seconds of Summer
