As we conclude our 2025/26 Season, I am inspired by the music and energy that fill our concert hall and community.

A few days ago, The Phoenix Symphony closed its season with two performances of a remarkable program that combined the music of Igor Stravinsky with that of Kendrick Lamar.

As the accompanying photos highlight, the atmosphere in Symphony Hall was electric, including many people hearing our musicians perform for the first time. The enthusiastic response of our audience tells us that they’ll return.

After the concerts, several first-time attendees lingered in the lobby. They said they had not known what to expect, and that they could not wait to come back. After observing the artwork, dancing, and music in the lobby, great friends of the Symphony called our performance “a happening.”

This is just the latest example of a season that has been a testament to the power of music to connect, uplift, and inspire.
